Only a thirty minute drive to the beautiful city of Durham with its stunning cathedral and castle and less than an hour’s drive from the attractions, shops and restaurants of Newcastle, the area also benefits from excellent transport links via land, sea and air. There are easy links via the A19 and A1 to the north and south of the UK as well as to Newcastle airport and Durham Tees Valley airport. Also nearby is North Shields where you can catch the ferry to mainland Europe.
